As a Expansion Sales Account Executive at Gusto, you will be a platform advisor to drive expansion revenue by engaging customers through both inbound and outbound outreach. Using a structured, multi‑touch cadence, you will secure quality connects and generate incremental ARR growth.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Execute a multi‑touch outreach cadence (calls + emails) to connect with customers</li>
<li>Fast responsiveness to inbound opportunities combined with smart outbound prospecting into our customer base</li>
<li>Conduct at least 6 consultative calls daily to uncover upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.</li>
<li>Leverage your deep knowledge of the People Platform to demonstrate additional product value.</li>
<li>Update Salesforce with detailed notes and collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing) to optimize messaging.</li>
<li>Ownership of a monthly ARR quota achieved via upsell and cross-sells</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>3+ years in consultative sales or account management focused on expansion.</li>
<li>Proven success in a high‑velocity sales environment managing numerous customer interactions.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and time‑management skills.</li>
</ul>
Our cash compensation range for this role is $82,000 to $120,000 OTE in Denver and most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including location, experience, and expertise.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.

About the Role:
Gusto moves hundreds of billions of dollars per year. The Payment Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the payment rails and payment methods moving money across the US and across international borders. You will help build the future of money movement; launching emerging products that involve payments and solidifying our payments ledger and reconciliation platforms.
About the Team:
This role is part of the Payments and Risk team at Gusto that ensures that our 300,000+ small and medium businesses and millions of their employees are getting paid on time, every time. The team is on point for all money movement exceptions handling and for managing the tactical operations with our domestic and global payment partners.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
<ul>
<li>
Payment processing. Investigate and resolve money movement exceptions while being a DRI for escalations and incidents</li>
<li>
Vendor and partner management. Liaise with Gusto’s payment service providers and financial institutions in managing product lifecycle </li>
<li>
Cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate with product management, engineering, risk, and accounting to assess, analyze, and improve existing payments performance and to bring emerging products online </li>
<li>
Audit support. Become a partner to our Legal and Compliance teams with all-things money movement during internal and external audits. </li>
</ul>
Stay customer focused. Eradicating customer pain is big priority at Gusto, so it’s more important than ever to be anticipating and solving for future problems 
Here’s what we're looking for:
<ul>
<li>4+ years in a payments or payments related function at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company</li>
<li>A proactive approach to troubleshooting payment issues, identifying root causes, and devising sustainable solutions. </li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li>
</ul>
Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $66,000 - $80,00/year in Denver and between $83,000 - $99,000/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

About the Role 
As a member of the IT Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be part of the broader IT Experience org (IT Operations + IT Engineering) and be responsible for managing our organization's infrastructure systems and networks to ensure they are functioning and meet Gusto’s needs.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
<ul>
<li>Maintenance: Installing and configuring hardware, software, and networks</li>
<li>Working with one or more of these technologies (VMWare, Microsoft, Veeam, Nutanix and SRW)</li>
<li>Troubleshooting: Resolving issues with computer and server systems to minimize disruptions</li>
<li>Security: Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure</li>
<li>Performance: Monitoring system performance and identifying system requirements for upgrades</li>
<li>Research and development: Keeping up with IT business needs and implementing emerging technologies</li>
<li>Data management: Creating backups and safeguarding data</li>
<li>Account management: Setting up accounts for new and existing employees</li>
<li>Manage ticket queues and escalation requests and resolve with guidance from the team</li>
<li>Other related responsibilities contributing to OKR projects</li>
<li>Participate in rotational on-call with the team</li>
<li>Documentation of operational processes and architecture</li>
</ul>
Here’s what we're looking for:
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)</li>
<li>Proficiency in server operating systems (Windows, Linux)</li>
<li>Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Horizon and hyperconverged infrastructure)</li>
<li>Proficiency with datacenter Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Azure AD)</li>
<li>Experience with AWS cloud computing platform</li>
<li>Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)</li>
<li>Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)</li>

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
