Chainalysis was established in 2014 by co-founders Michael Gronager, Jan Moller, and Jonathan Levin. The company was originally created in order to investigate cryptocurrency hacking and went on to expand its product offerings to include data, software, and research services to both private and government organizations in more than 70 countries worldwide. Some high-profile customers include the FBI, IRS, and the UK’s National Crime Agency. Chainalysis’ current CEO is Jonathan Levin, and its corporate headquarters is located in New York, New York.
